I am an educator and writing tutor based in Sarasota, Florida, serving students all over the country. I specialize in college essays and Advanced Placement English, helping students develop the skills and confidence to take on the high-stakes writing required of them during their junior and senior years of high school.
I have worked with students to draft and revise essays that have helped them gain admission to schools including Stanford, MIT, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Notre Dame, UC Berkley, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth, Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, and UCLA. My students have gone on to successful careers in medicine, engineering, journalism, law, technology, and education. I believe that a successful experience with personal writing can unlock confidence and a love for writing that your children will carry with them forever.
My AP students have consistently outperformed national pass rates on the AP exam. Whereas the national pass rate for AP Lit is traditionally 48-49%, 85-90% of my students typically pass the exam. Most recently, 100% of my AP Seminar students passed the AP exam, even after the final 9 weeks of the course moved suddenly online.
